SM DXI intentionally calls on the history of Los Angeles as it came up in mid-century Americana while bringing in refreshing organic materials like soft linens and canvas. Design decisions were informed by imagination, inspired by the artistic expression of musicians in the 1960s-1970s and the pursuit of comfort in this Santa Monica haven.
